Vaidya Asvin Barot

Vaidya Asvin Barot (Vaidya being the Indian title for a doctor who practices Ayurveda) was born in East Africa. He studied Ayurveda in Nadiad in the state of Gujarat, India and graduated from The Gujarat Ayurved University, the state’s main university.
He is a pioneer in spreading the knowledge of Ayurveda and founded an internationally recognised medical practice in England, which attracted many mainstream doctors wanting to learn how to combine Ayurveda with modern medicine.
Vaidya Barot is known worldwide as a specialist in the basic principles of Ayurveda and their application in daily life. He takes part in international conferences promoting Ayurveda as a Science and Art of Life.
For the past few years, he has concentrated on research into psychosomatic diseases and the management of stress through Ayurveda, Yoga and meditation.
More recently he has revived the technique of Agnikarma (Thermal microcautery) and has helped to establish the Global Agnikarma Centre in Gujarat, India. The Global Agnikarma Centre is the first center in the world to apply Agnikarma in a scientific and well-documented way.

Dr Nikolaos G Kostopoulos

Dr Kostopoulos graduated from Athens Medical University in 1984. He has worked in the Renal Unit of the Athens Naval Hospital, the Intensive Care Unit of Sotiria chest hospital and in the Respiratory Unit of Manchester Royal Infirmary in England.
He is a member of the Homeopathic Association in Greece and also of the Faculty of Homeopathy in England. Dr Kostopoulos started working in a private practice in Harley Street, London in 1990, combining Ayurveda and modern medicine.
Having been introduced to Ayurveda by Vaidya Barot. In December 1999, Dr Kostopoulos opened the Holistic Health Centre in Kifissia, Athens, where he provides medical care and treats patients from all over the world.
Simultaneously, together with Vaidya Barot, he studies psychosomatic diseases and the management of stress using methods promoted by Ayurveda.
He takes part in international conferences and has lectured in England, Ireland, Germany, France, Switzerland, Canada, Japan and India promoting the scientific application of Ayurveda.
